What is Mobility?

Mobility is a combination of strength and flexibility. It defines how able your body is to meet the demands of daily life. Whether you can get out of the bath, touch your toes, look over your shoulder, or pick up a suitcase - or a grandchild.

Why do I need it?

So that you can keep doing the things you want to do, injury free, and to the best of your ability. Whether that’s high performance sport or just living your best life. For example, a huge number of us spend a lot of the day sat down. Our hamstrings and calves tighten and our back slumps. We need to counterbalance this by stretching out our legs and strengthening our core and back muscles.

Use it or lose it

To continue doing the movements that we need in our daily lives we need to practice them. If we don’t train our wrists to support our weight then how will they hold up if we fall over? If we don’t train our triceps then how will we get out of the bath when we’re older? If we don’t move and strengthen our spines then what will stop us from becoming hunched over?
